Foam Inserts

CNC-cut foam interiors for the case you already own, or the case we build around it. We cut for the body, the accessories, the AKS, and the working configuration — not a generic rectangle with a lid. Need the case too? We also build custom cases — fabricated ATA flight cases or molded shells — around the foam.

Every insert starts from the gear list. Send the makes, models and accessories that travel together and we design the layout around how the kit is actually pulled: what comes out first on set, what stays cradled during a truck pack, what has to be visible at a glance during prep. Cavities are cut on CNC routers in North Hollywood, so the second insert matches the first — which is what makes a rental fleet re-orderable.

Materials

Polyethylene	Closed-cell, high resilience. The default for camera bodies, lenses and anything heavy that will be pulled and replaced daily.
Ethafoam	Closed-cell polyethylene for structural cradles and dividers where the foam carries load.
Polyurethane	Open-cell, softer set. Used for lids, top pads and lighter accessories.
Velvet lining	Lines cavities where the surface finish of the gear matters — black standard, plus blue, green, orange and red.
Anti-static	Specified where the payload is bare electronics, drives or media.

Densities and firmness are selected per job, not per case. A 40 lb camera package and a set of primes do not want the same foam, and a case that ships once a year does not want what a rental case needs.

Cases we cut for

Pelican Protector, Storm, Air and Vault, plus Nanuk, SKB and HPRC shells — and any case you can give us specifications for. If the shell is one we stock, you can buy the case and the insert together. If you already own the case, send it in or send the model number.

Lead time and re-orders

Send a gear list and we respond within 24 business hours with a layout and a price. Once a design is cut and approved we keep the file, so re-orders for additional units match the original exactly — the same cavity positions, the same foam, the same engraved labelling if you use it.
