Camera Body Cases Guide

A camera body case is the single most important piece of transit protection in a working kit. The body itself usually costs more than every other case combined, and it's the one piece that almost always travels in operating configuration — viewfinder mounted, top handle attached, media doors closed, batteries loaded. Off-the-shelf foam doesn't accommodate any of that.

Innerspace builds custom camera cases across the current cinema sensor lineup: ARRI ALEXA Mini LF, ALEXA 35, ALEXA Mini, AMIRA, ALEXA LF, and ALEXA 65; Sony VENICE 2, VENICE, BURANO, FX9, FX6, FX3, and FR7; RED V-RAPTOR, V-RAPTOR XL, KOMODO, KOMODO-X, and DSMC2 generations; Blackmagic URSA Cine 12K LF, URSA Mini Pro 12K, and Cinema Camera 6K; plus Canon C400, C500 Mark II, C70, and R5 C; Panasonic VariCam; Aaton 35-III and Penelope; and the high-speed Phantom Flex and Vision Research bodies.

Every Innerspace camera case is CNC-foamed to your specific build — body shell, viewfinder, top handle, rosette accessories, V-mount or Gold-mount battery wells, XQD/CFexpress/SXS media compartments, and the cables that actually travel with the kit. The foam holds the camera in working orientation so prep on set is fast: open the lid, lift, mount lens, roll. No re-rigging.

Shell choices include Pelican 1620, 1650, 1690, and 1700 hard cases, Storm iM2750 and iM2950, Pelican Air 1637, HPRC wheeled shells, and Innerspace ATA 300 Flight Cases when the camera needs to survive repeated airline handling. Wheels, tow handles, and external rigging hardware come standard on the larger ground-shipping configurations.

If you're outfitting a rental house and need 6, 12, or 24 of the same configuration for a fleet, that's our wheelhouse. For multi-case or fleet projects, contact our team for project pricing. Because each case is built to specification, quantity does not automatically create the same economies of scale found in mass-produced products. Discuss a fleet project.

How To Shop

Use this page like a case finder, not a generic grid.

Start with the product type if your fit is already known. Use filters when you are narrowing by shell, size, or use case. If the build is unusual, overloaded, or timing-sensitive, move into the custom path before forcing a guess.

Known Fit

Buy Direct

Best when the exact equipment package is already understood and you need a faster route to purchase.

Need Confidence

Use Filters

Narrow the grid by product type and compare options before committing to a shell or interior direction.
